National Arbor Day 2018

This year the National Conservation Commission will celebrate National Arbor Day, on Saturday, September 22, at the National Botanical Gardens, Codrington, St Michael, beginning at 10 a.m. The theme is TREES: The Circle of Life.

Minister of Environment and National Beautification, Trevor Prescod, will deliver the feature address at the 21st Anniversary Arbor Day Award celebrations, at which Senior Laboratory Technician at the University of the West Indies, Jeff St. Aubyn Chandler, will receive an award for his commitment and outstanding service to National Arbor Day throughout the years.

Also receiving awards will be the winners of the Primary Schools Tree Investigation Project. (BGIS)
