FOR?THE FIRST?TIME in 43 years, athletics will be returning to the historic Kensington Oval.
With uncertainty surrounding a completion date for work being done to repair the track at the National Stadium, organizers of some of the island’s top track and field competitions have booked dates at the region’s most recognized venue for cricket.
Hillaby/Turner’s Hall, West Terrace, Eden Lodge, Cuthbert Moore, St Giles and Lawrence T. Gay primary schools will stage their inter-house championships there in January and February.
The Barbados Relay Fair will be held on February 23, while the National Primary Schools Athletic Championships (NAPSAC) and the Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) are also scheduled to be held there.
