Special Treat

It was a moment for the children, but thousands of Barbadians joined in the act as the Rotary Club of Barbados staged a fundraising show for the Schoolhouse For Special Needs children at Ilaro Court on Saturday.
There was hardly any room as the audience on the cascading grounds of the Prime Minister’s official residence rocked to the sounds of Barbadian group Brass Soul who opened for the tribute band of the internationally renowned Bee Gees trio.
At the end of the almost four-hour concert, patrons were left clamouring for more. Some of the special needs children also joined the “Bee Gees” on stage for a dance and handed over gifts of appreciation to the guests. (JS)
