A skateboarding park being built at Wildey should be in use by early next year.

This was disclosed by executive officer of the Skateboarding Association of Barbados, Adrian Bowen, following a prize-giving for the One Movement Invitational Skateboarding Contest at the Barbados Olympic Association headquarters on Wednesday.

“We are looking to have the park finished by the end of the year and then the first quarter of next yearwe should have a grand opening,” he told the Saturday Sun.

Soft opening

“We are just going to have it finished, have a soft opening to get certain things sorted in terms of infrastructure and management wise, and then we want to do a grand opening where we have an international presence, which is good for the contest, with pros coming in and media and so on,” he said.
