Staff at an urban primary school are fuming at the head of their school.
Their anger relates to her claims that she couldn’t find money to buy materials to be used in the classroom, but now is seeking to pay a top-rated hotel $12 000 to host the annual graduation ceremony, which was previously organised for free.
What has the staff even more upset is that the principal is going all out to raise this money by giving the students sponsor sheets to walk around begging for funds. She even asked one of the senior teachers to cook chicken soup to sell – which has left her class unsupervised.
Another worrisome situation is that parents will have to fork out $60 each to attend the ceremony while the menu is limited to sandwiches and fish-cakes.
People are warning the principal that her over-the-top plans could very well result in her being the only staff member attending the ceremony.
Meeting-turn mistress
Some men who are involved in a meeting-turn at their workplace want the woman who runs it to stop offering them sex for their money.
It appears that whenever it comes time to pay out the money she approaches the men and offers them sex instead. And if they refuse, she comes with the excuse that all the money was not collected.
While some of the men have taken her up on this offer, others have told her point blank to keep her honey and give them their money.
The men want to know if she is so naïve to think that they are not talking among themselves about what she is doing. Everybody knows that she spends most of her lunch hours at a certain central place satisfying the male colleagues.
Those who want no part of her sex-for-money scheme say the only thing they really want from her is the money which they have put into the pool.
They want her to run the meeting professionally or else her husband may get some visible proof of how she really spends her lunch hour.
Family feud
June is the month for weddings but a certain bride may find herself out in the cold soon after she says “I Do”.
Apparently, the siblings of the groom are all planning to prevent him and his new bride from taking up residence at the family house in St George, as planned after the ceremony.
It seems that the groom has told his other family members that he wants them out of the house, so that he and his new bride can move in.
But they are all staying put, since they say their mother left the house for all her children.
And if he does not desist from forcing his militant behaviour on his family they are planning to complain to his superiors and have him disciplined.
New hire not so hot
The staff at an office down by the park are still grumbling over the recent appointment of an overseas candidate who brought a very long chain, apparently to be used to chain link, instead of bringing the wealth of knowledge and experience that he loves to brag about.
Staff are at a loss concerning the many changes over the short period and are concerned about the regular police visits and calls to his office.
With his drinking habit and after-work liming spot, staff now see how the youths get so, because they are getting the wrong directions.
Pregnant voice
Seems like a prominent songbird has put Reverend Charles Morris’ position about nothing in the Bible indicating premarital sex is wrong to the test.
And because of that she won’t be leading her flock for another nine months.
Word is she has been politely asked to step away from that position, given her expectations in a few months.
