WHILE BUSHY PARK has been given the green light, Barbados’ other major motoring venue is still awaiting starter’s orders.
Barbados Rally Carnival creator and the man behind the St Thomas facility, Greg Cozier,is wondering why Government has slammed brakes on the redevelopment of Vaucluse which has been idle since 2008.
Cozier comments come after the Barbados Motoring Federation (BMF) revealed it had finally completed all the legal documentation to acquire the lease for Bushy Park from Government last week.
“I am very pleased to read about the progress being made on the Bushy Park race track redevelopment [but] Bajan motor sport fans must surely be hoping that Vaucluse Raceway gets the same consideration and support from Government,” said Cozier in aninterview with SUNSPORT.
