SO LONG, GOOD SHEPHERD.
St Philip and Workmans surely couldn’t wait to see you gone.
Forget second place, Zone 1’s perennial runners-up are bridesmaids no more after St Philip and Workmans finally topped the girls’ and boys’ standings, respectively during the National Primary School Athletic Championship’s Obadele Thompson Zone at the National Stadium yesterday.
It was the fateful end to years of heartache for the two rural schools – both of which finished second to powerhouses Good Shepherd as recently as last season.
