THERE IS SOMETHING big happening in The City and it has everything to do with the Sweetest Summer Festival, which kicks off today with the inaugural City Fest and Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes.
Shoppers and curious onlookers are not only hearing that popular Red Plastic Bag track and many more from pannist Mark Forde’s Quartet which also features Richard Evans on bass, Dwain Gill on violin and Stefan Walcott (keys) in the Beckwith Street Taxi Stand.
This is just one of the many points where the artisans and artists and performers will be “pumping up” passersby as they showcase the many elements which have shaped Crop Over for the past 40 years.
Shoppers are going about their business with a bounce in their steps in response to the enticing vibes.
