West Indies opener Lendl Simmons grimacing after a delivery by Pakistan’s fast bowler Wahab Riaz hit his left knee during the opening day of their first cricket test match in Georgetown, Guyana, yesterday.
Simmons retired hurt after scoring 41, but returned, and eventually made 49, the team’s highest score in a total of 209 for nine at the close.
