Jalon Samuel made it back home just before COVID-19 started to affect the United States.

Samuel rode at Gulfstream Park in Florida after winning his fifth Sandy Lane Gold Cup on Night Prowler on March 7 and becoming the most successful rider in the prestigious horse race.

“I went back but I foresaw this whole virus issue, as I was watching it as it progressed,” he said.

“The world won’t listen and do as they were being told so the virus could be contained faster and I would rather be home with my family in this crisis,” he told Sun Sport. (AT)
