National Insurance Scheme (NIS) pension cheques, which have cashing dates of April 9 and 27, may be cashed at post offices on Wednesday, April 8, and Thursday, April 9, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
A press release said NIS pensioners with surnames beginning with the letters A to H may cash their cheques on Wednesday, April 8, while those with surnames beginning with the letters I to Z may cash theirs on Thursday, April 9.
Post offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on those days.
Cheque cashing services will also be available for those who usually cash cheques at the NIS office, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Management of the NIS has asked customers to queue in an orderly fashion and observe the COVID-19 physical distancing protocol to keep the distance of six feet behind the person in front of them. (BGIS)
