England-bound Barbadian cricketers were back in the nets and on the outfield at Kensington Oval practising for the first time in more than two months.

After being granted special permission by Government to take part in training sessions, they wasted little time in getting the ball rolling in their preparations for the West Indies’ three-Test tour of England in July.

West Indies’ first-choice Test wicketkeeper/batsman Shane Dowrich, experienced fast bowler Kemar Roach and batsman Shamarh Brooks were the first players to practise during a two-hour morning session.

They were followed by Test captain Jason Holder, vice-captain Kraigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope, who had a good session in the nets, with coaches Floyd Reifer, Roddy Estwick and Emmerson Trotman providing the bowling with mechanical throwdowns. (EZS)
