Andrea Harris, the wife of Joseph Harris whose body was found floating face down in the waters off the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex on Sunday, last saw him on Saturday and says she is perplexed about the nature of his death.

Harris, 48, said yesterday her husband was a friendly person who had a love for the sea and a “good drink”.

“The last time I saw him was Saturday in the market drinking, but when I left there after 12 p.m. I don’t know what happened,” she said while sitting in the verandah of her Barbarees Gardens, Barbarees Hill, St Michael home. “But something seems fishy to me about what happened. I don’t think he could have drowned yesterday (Sunday).”

On Sunday, a fisherman informed a security guard at the Princess Alice Highway, St Michael market that while he was going to his boat in the Careenage, he saw a body floating. (SB)
