Barbadians interested in learning how to grow their own lettuce now have the opportunity to do so.

This is because the Rural Development Commission (RDC) will be conducting a workshop on Lettuce Production on Saturday, April 14 on a plot of land owned by one of its clients, Anne Marie Williams, an RDC farmer from Plum Tree Road, Haggatt Hall.

The workshop will comprise two sessions: from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Minister of Housing, Lands and Rural Development, Denis Kellman is expected to be in attendance.

To gain access to Williams’ residence, interested persons should turn right on to Salter’s Tenantry Road (this is the gap leading to the blue commercial complex) and follow the road until they come to the first left turn. They should then take the short right, continue along the marl road and midway in the gap, there will be an RDC banner. Persons should then turn right at the banner for parking.  The RDC will also have signage placed along the route. (BGIS)
