Visitor dies after snorkelling

A 70-year-old British citizen, visiting the island on the cruise ship Aurora, died around 2 p.m. yesterday.

While snorkelling during a dive boat outing in Carlisle Bay, Bay Street, St Michael, she experienced difficulty breathing around 1:52 p.m.

She was brought to shore and medical technicians administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her.

The visitor was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (SB)
