Unity Stars fight back

ESFC Unity Stars came from a goal down at half-time to complete a thrilling 4-3 victory over Kick Start Genesis in the Barbados Football Association’s Women’s League at the Wildey AstroTurf on Thursday night.

Tia Briggs-Thompson netted the winner in the final minute after Marissa King’s second goal of the game early in the second half brought Unity Stars on level terms.

In an action-packed first half that produced five goals, Kick Start Genesis took a 3-2 lead at the interval. They opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a goal from Rowland Kirton-Browne before Makayla Alleyne made it 1-1 in the 24th minute.

The excitement continued in the 35th minute when both teams found the nets with King scoring for Unity Stars and Christaline Chandler for Kickstart Genesis. (HG)
