A senior police officer is reportedly under investigation by his colleagues.
WEEKEND NATION investigations have revealed that the veteran lawman was in custody from Wednesday night, and was being questioned in connection with the discovery of guns and ammunition.
Reports indicate that a search warrant was executed at the home of the cop in question, who had been under investigation for some time.
When contacted, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Erwin Boyce declined to comment on the allegation, telling the WEEKEND NATION he was in a meeting and could not comment.
“I am in a meeting right now, so I cannot respond,” he said.
When asked to confirm if the report was true, Boyce responded, “I am in a meeting. I cannot comment at this time.”
