AN AUTHORITATIVE CENTURY stand between captain Diego Stuart and middle-order batsman Jonathan Drakes helped CounterPoint Wanderers defeat ICBL Empire by 46 runs in the semi-final of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Super Cup yesterday.

Empire’s Justin Greaves hit a superb unbeaten half-century but Wanderers proved stronger in all departments and will meet Crane Resort St Catherine in the final at the Windward Club ground, St Philip next Sunday.

Replying to an imposing Wanderers score of 295 off 49.1 overs, Empire made 249 all out off 45.2 overs.

The visitors never established dominance during the run chase and lost wickets at crucial stages throughout. (PH)
