CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS CONTINUE to give back to the Paediatrics Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

On Tuesday the Canadian Women’s Club of Barbados presented the department with its most recent donation of a portable intubation scope.

The instrument which is valued at $16 000 will be used for difficult intubations and where a portable intubation is required, especially during emergencies.

The gift was presented to the hospital by president of the club Beverley McCollin-Moore and community services chairperson Ann Smith who said they were happy to assist the hospital and pledged to continue doing so.

Head of paediatrics Dr Angela Jennings and QEH consultant Dr Kandamaran Krishnamurthy received the donation and thanked the organisation for its support. (TG)
