The Government will officially launch the Pearly App on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, as part of its push to modernise public service delivery and improve citizen engagement through digital technology.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley will lead the launch at Illaro Court at 2 p.m.
Developed by local company Touchstar Group of Companies Limited, the app allows citizens to report public service issues such as potholes, water outages, waste disposal and other concerns directly from their mobile devices.
Users will be able to submit photos, videos, written descriptions and location data, with reports routed to the relevant government agencies for follow-up and resolution. The platform also includes features for tracking issues and submitting emergency reports.
Government says the system is designed to improve efficiency, strengthen accountability and enhance communication across ministries, departments and statutory agencies.
The Pearly App is already available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Officials say ministries and public agencies will begin onboarding shortly after the launch as part of a phased rollout across the public sector.
The Ministry of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, along with other stakeholders, will oversee implementation and provide ongoing support as the platform is integrated into government operations.(PR)
