Masked men shoot 23-year-old in Beckwith Street

Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred last night at Beckwith Street, St Michael.

Public Relations Officer Inspector (Ag) Rodney Inniss confirmed that 23-year-old Akil Amar Jaunai was shot in the right buttock cheek and his right thigh following an altercation with three masked men.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle.

Police say the first assailant is 5’7” inches, medium build, complexion unknown, and was clad in a neon pink and green Nike hoodie and black mask, with eyes and mouth exposed.

The other is 5’9” inches, slim build, complexion unknown, clad in a black long sleeve hoodie, long black pants and black mask, with mouth and eyes exposed.

The third masked man was wearing black long sleeves T-shirt, dark sock hat and a plain black mask, with the mouth and eyes exposed.
