Top performer Tishani wants to be neurosurgeon

TEARS FLOWED AMONG three generations at Christ Church Girls’ School where Tishani Rihanna Jordan learnt she was the top female in this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination

Jordan was shocked when she walked into principal Sharon Knight’s office to see her mother Tamiesha Rochester-Jones and grandmother Waveney Browne, who is a senior teacher at the Water Street school.

Shock turned to joy and tears and all could say was “For real?”

The 11-year-old got 99 in English (120.42) and 100 (123.28) in Mathematics and wants to be a neurosurgeon.

She will be attending Queen’s College in September. (GC)
