THE LAWYER representing Nelson Street murder accused Ryan Samuel has asked the jury to disregard the “bad apples” who were misleading them into believing his client was guilty.
Mohia Ma’at was delivering his closing remarks yesterday in the No. 2 Supreme Court before Justice Randall Worrell. Samuel has denied killing former Nelson Street proprietor Charley Dume on Aril 26, 2014, at the Coyote’s Den, corner of Nelson Street and Wellington Street, The City.
“There is one question to be answered and that is, who killed Charley? [One witness] said he saw no gun but could identify the shooter and picked Samuel out from an identification parade,” the defence counsel told the 12-member jury.
Ma’at said in the questioning of owner of the Coyote’s Den, he was adamant he did not see a gun. (RA)
