Cavs grab lead

MAYBE STATION HILL were the ones to beat all along.

The Cavs are atop the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League, having upended previous league leaders Lumber Company Lakers 81-73 on Thursday at the Barbados Community College.

It was the seventh straight win for the red-hot Cavaliers, who have made a statement to the rest of the league by beating favourites Lakers, Pinelands and Sonics in three of their last four outings.

Lakers’ recent form hasn’t been as flattering, though, with the Husbands men dropping two straight contests and three of their last five since starting the season 6-0.
