CROP THIEVES raided a field of cassava in Constant, St George, sometime in the last week.
The discovery was made by the Barbados Agricultural Management Company’s (BAMC) farm manager (non-sugar unit), Edwin O’Neal, on Saturday, as he was making a tour of the fields.
“They do the dog out here. No wonder they ain’t buying,” he told the DAILY NATION as he surveyed the discarded plants that were carelessly tossed in the field.
He said the scale of the theft probably encompassed the entire field. (HLE)
