HEALING HERBS: Mamey sapote a heart-healthy fruit

“A study that surveyed prison inmates with the ‘death before dishonour’ tattoo found that if these prison inmates had been in military service, they had all been dishonourably discharged.” – The Journal of Criminal Law, Criminology and Police Science: The Relationship Of Tattoos To Personality Disorders, by Richard F. Post.

PREVIOUSLY, when the popular saying “death before dishonour” invaded my environment, I would conjure up the thoughts that it only meant being loyal, until I investigated the above study. Additionally, the most popular tattoo depicts an eagle, a heart, springs and a dagger/army knife.

Why was I attracted to the words “death before dishonour”? It should remind us not to send psychic daggers to others to harm them. Each time we verbally send negative energy to others, it demonstrates a person with a very sick mind.

Prefect examples of daggers are: “I hope Jane dies tomorrow, or I hope she gets fired”. Stop sending these evil thoughts, for these “daggers” will return and cause you greater harm now or later.

Healing involves using the eagle to change your perspective to soar to greater spiritual awareness. The heart should teach you about love and the springs should encourage you to bounce back to true spiritual consciousness.

Terrible suffering

If you are going through a trial right now and you are confused about why you are suffering, it’s best to pray. After praying, instead of crying and badgering God about why me, ask yourself, did I send a spiritual dagger to anyone? The answer will stare you in the eye. Remember, all daggers always find their way back home. In my opinion, this can result in terrible suffering.

While soaring with the eagles, locate silent doctor mamey sapote, scientifically known as Pouteria sapota. This berry has a pink or orange interior and has a taste that combines cantaloupes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and peach.

The website www.organicfacts.com reveals: “If you suffer from depression, mood swings, or other mental issues, improving your hormone levels and nervous system function should be your first step towards improvement. The nutrient-dense fruit of the mamey sapote tree can help in both of those areas.”

Keeping pressure in check

Mamey sapote can also boost bone strength and the immune system. It can prevent cancer, arthritis, heart attack, stroke and atherosclerosis. The website www.healthbenefitstimes.com shows that “mamey sapote is one of the heart-healthy foods. Fruit consists of soluble fibre that helps to promote healthy cholesterol levels, thus reducing your risk of heart disease. Its high potassium content defends cardiovascular health by keeping blood pressure in check”.

Finally, instead of dishonouring your soul, live righteous. Do good and it will return to you.
