SOME OF THE STAFF at the lone state-run television station were sick yesterday, and it had to do with money.

But the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s general manager said the number of those who called in sick had no impact on the operations of The Pine, St Michael facility.

Shop steward Kent Jerson declined to comment and referred the SATURDAY SUN to the Barbados Workers’ Union.

Efforts to reach the BWU’s senior assistant general secretary Orlando “Gabby” Scott or deputy general secretary Dwaine Paul were unsuccesful. (HLE)
