ATTORNEY GENERAL Adriel Brathwaite has stoutly denied that morale among prison officers at Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds has sunk to an all-time low under his watch.

But he said that when he does deal with any issues currently facing the country’s prison officers, he would do so by meeting with the entire fraternity, and not just the outspoken president of their association, Trevor Browne.

Brathwaite said that was the only way to avoid more finger-pointing at the island’s lone penal institution.

“I have a prison advisory board, and they have not advised me that there is a morale problem. The previous president did not say that to me either. The management, Colonel Nurse [superintendent] and Mr [Cedric] Moore [head of custody] have not said to me, ‘We have any serious morale issues’,” Brathwaite told the SUNDAY SUN.
