AN ELDERLY MAN was reportedly rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in serious condition after being struck by a car tonight.
The man said to be in his 60s was hit by a Toyota Allex just after 8 p.m. in Harts Gap, Christ Church.
When a NATION team arrived on the scene the shattered windscreen and a large pool of blood on the ground nearby told the tale of what had earlier transpired.
While residents said they had not witnessed the accident, they reported hearing a loud noise.
One woman said when she came out to investigate she saw the man, who lives in the area, lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
“He was breathing but he was not moving at all. He looked like he was seriously injured,” she said.
Another resident said the man had just disembarked from a Transport Board City Circle bus and was making his way home when he was hit. (RB)
