AFTER ALMOST SIX MONTHS on remand, the second person charged in the death of Jahan King has been granted bail.
Dwayne Marshall was released today on $20 000 bail with one surety when he appeared in the District A Magistrates Court before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.
Marshall and Lasonta Gill, Jahan’s mother, have both been charged with manslaughter. She was granted bail on September 20.
The pair is scheduled to reappear in court on December 15.
Jahan died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on June 29 last year. Marshall and Gill – who is pregnant – were formally charged on April 23. (Barbados Nation)
