THEY’RE IN!

The national men’s hockey team has made it to the second round of the Hockey World League.

This was confirmed by coach Dominic Hill.

“We had an idea that we may have made it to round two given our finals’ appearance in Mexico last month. We are very elated to have advanced to the next round,” he said.

The team defeated Mexico in the semi-final match 2-1, but lost to the United States 6-1 in the final.

Despite the anti-climax, the team returned home victorious after securing the overall silver medal in the tournament.

The second round of the tournament will be held in Trinidad in March 2017. (RA)
