IN A DARING bid to escape with a stolen motorcycle, two robbers fired several shots, one of which pierced the window of a nearby salon in Parish Land, Christ Church, yesterday afternoon.

Fortunately, though, no one was injured in the shooting incident which occurred around 1:30 p.m.

But enraged residents told the SATURDAY SUN that the situation could have been a lot worse, as children frequented a pasture close to where the shooting took place.

Police public relations officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler confirmed that a shooting took place in the area. He said that at around 1:24 p.m. two unknown men went in to Parish Land and were stealing the motorcycle when they were confronted by the owner. (RB)
