IN AN EFFORT to bring immediate relief to the areas severely affected by drought, the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is continuing to mobilise its fleet of water tankers.
Starting today ‎and continuing daily until the water supply in the higher elevations of Barbados returns to normal levels, BWA water tankers will be deployed from 5 a.m. to fill and refill community tanks as needed. Refiling ends each day at 8 p.m.
From 8 a.m. daily water tankers will commence door to door deliveries. These will end at 10 p.m.
A tanker schedule and updates will be made available daily via radio stations and the BWA’s website www.barbadoswaterauthority.com.
Customers are advised that if they do not receive tanker service or they observe that the community tanks need re-filling, kindly call the BWA Hotline at 434- 4292 or 836-4629 for assistance.Â
Customers have also been asked to note that they may experience delays in delivery as it takes some time to fill and deliver water via tanker.
The BWA expressed its appreciation for the patience of customers and apologised for the inconvenience.Â
