Driver dies in car crash

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a road fatality which occurred sometime after 11 last night along Road View, St Peter.

Preliminary investigations suggest a 50-year-old Austrian man lost control of the car he was driving and crashed into a pole.

He subsequently died at the scene.

His 33-year-old passenger complained of chest pains and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

The Royal Barbados Police Force extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. 

The RBPF also reminded motorists of the importance of exercising due care and attention when using the highway and byways. (PR/NB)
