ATTORNEY AT LAW ARTHUR HOLDER is speaking out about a perceived lack of fairness in the judicial system, one which he suggests disadvantages poor black Barbadians.
He said they were being made to pay for crimes they were accused of committing, while others of different races and social standing appeared to be getting off scot-free.
At the annual general meeting of the Barbados Labour Party’s St Michael East constituency branch at Israel Lovell Foundation on Sunday, he said while he was not making excuses for the violence in the country, it also appeared that “certain people” had become “untouchable”.
Holder said it also raised questions of transparency, accountability and governance. (WILLCOMM)
