RESIDENTS OF St Joseph will be putting on their marching boots next Wednesday.
At least 150 of them will be protesting the lack of potable water in many parts of that parish for extended periods.
Andrew Dixon, one of the organisers of the demonstration, said yesterday they had been given permission by the police to stage the one-hour protest outside the Barbados Water Authority’s (BWA’s) headquarters in The Pine, St Michael.
“We will be staging the protest in that road leading to the BWA’s headquarters next Wednesday starting at 10 a.m.,” he said, noting that they would try to accommodate some of those residents from parts of St John and St Thomas who had also been long-suffering. (ES)
