GEORGETOWN – Guyana Amazon Warriors remained the only unbeaten side in the Caribbean Premier League when they brushed aside Jamaica Tallawahs by seven wickets in a low-scoring, top of the table clash here Thursday night.

Opting to bowl first at the National Stadium in their opening home game, Amazon Warriors bundled out the powerful Tallawahs for a paltry 100 off 18 overs, with Man Of The Match, left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul, claiming three for 25.

Left-arm seamer Sohail Tanvir (2-11), pacer Rayad Emrit (2-17) and Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa (2-26) all supported with two wickets each.

Tallawahs were badly let down by their main batsmen as captain Chris Gayle got a first-ball duck and Sri Lankan stroke-maker Kumar Sangakkara scored just nine. (CMC)
