TWENTY-NINE BARBADOS Community College students will be creating 50 websites for non-governmental organisations over the next two months.

The group is undergoing training in website development at the Ministry of Education.

Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer Suckoo paid them a visit this morning and praised the initiative which is one of several projects being carried out in celebration of Barbados’ 50th anniversary of Independence.

“This one I think is a very useful one in that it is engaging our young people. It is giving them experience; it is giving them the skills we would really want to see more young people to have as we move forward,”she said. (AD)
