A SMALL ELECTRICAL fire caused a brief disruption at the FirstCaribbean International Bank, Broad Street, Bridgetown, this morning.
Director of Corporate Communication at FirstCaribbean Debra King told NATION Online the fire broke out on the ground floor of the branch around 10 a.m.
Fire officers said it was caused by television wiring. It was extinguished before they arrived, but the building was still evacuated as a precaution.
King said the last report she had indicated the branch was operating at a 90 per cent capacity, but the disruption would be temporary. (AD)
