PENSIONER HARRIETTE CODRINGTON will not be moved.

This was the decision made by chairman of the National Assistance Board (NAB), Senator Reverend David Durant, and a team of concerned officials, including Member of Parliament for St John Mara Thompson, after they visited the residence of the 76-year-old woman yesterday.

Codrington’s story appeared in the SUNDAY SUN after it was alleged she was being physically abused and ill-treated by her caretaker and niece, Antonio Codrington, for a number of years. 

“She does not want to move. We asked, and she said no, and we cannot force her to move. She prefers to stay in the home which she has spent most of her years as a resident, so from here onward we will be bringing help to her. (RA)
