$1.5 million in cannabis seized at sea

THREE MEN ARE assisting police with investigations into a drug seizure made off the north coast on Thursday night.

Members of the Drug Squad assisted by the Police Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard intercepted a Barbados-registered boat and the three men were held on board.  

A search revealed approximately 523.6 pounds of cannabis in 12 polythene bags. 

The drugs have a Street value of just under $1.5 million. (PR/NB)
