THE ALLEYNE SCHOOL is dedicated to ensuring its students are ready for the workforce.
This is according to Head of Business Studies at the school Shurla Pollard who said that there is a great need to educate schoolchildren from early about what to expect when they leave school.
“We are finding that a lot of employers are complaining that students are unprepared for the business environment,” she said.
She was speaking at the St Andrew secondary school during a career showcase which was held yesterday as part of its Business Week entitled: The Future In Business.
“So the whole idea is for them to have an awareness of things that are around them in the business environment and to get them prepared for work,” she said. (TG)
