THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH has put its own illegal dumping “police” on the streets, and with them a strong message – dispose of your trash illegally and suffer the consequences.
This is precisely what happened to one operator who was caught by surveillance personnel illegally dumping garbage in the quiet of Sunday evening at Bucks, St Thomas.
Yesterday, that operator returned to the scene of the crime, under the watchful eye of officials from the Vector Control Unit of the ministry, who had ordered him to clean up the area.
By the time they were done, the operator had removed 11 truckloads that apparently also included garbage he had not dumped. (MR)
