CHVANNI FORDE was the star performer in a three-bout local card with a technical knockout victory against Stephon Harding of Belfield Gym at the National Stadium Gym on Saturday night.
The young boxer from Thunderbird Gym faced a tough fight from his opponent but self-control worked in his favour. With one hook to the head, he snatched victory in the third round.
The opening round seemed like an equal match-up, with both fighters getting in left jabs and combinations but Harding’s impetuousness proved to be his downfall.
In the second round, Forde upped his work rate, throwing a number of combinations which were a foretaste of the result.
