In making the announcement today, Permanent Secretary Special Assignment, 50th Anniversary of Independence Celebrations Secretariat, Gabrielle Springer, said the 21 entries submitted late last year were unsuccessful in gaining the nod of approval from the judges.

“Following our announcement on March 4, Mr Roett, who is the producer of the song Barbados Will Always Be Home, approached the Secretariat with an offer to compose a song to be used in official programming, advertising and at national and public events during the year of celebrations,” she explained.
