THE OFFENSIVE ODOUR must be eliminated.
This was the consensus of officials from Combermere School, and the Ministries of Health and Education after a meeting yesterday to get to the bottom of the environmental issues plaguing the school and the neighbouring district.
The smell, described as gaseous by staff and students and residents of the Waterford community, forced the early closure of the school again yesterday, principal Vere Parris confirmed.
“This morning shortly after assembly, the school would’ve been invaded by a smell that was rather similar to an odour that affected the school previously,” he told the DAILY NATION.
