THE PLEAS FOR HELP from the Taitt family and their plight have reached the ears of their English representatives as parliamentarian Neil Coyle and Mayor Dora Dixon-Fyle have thrown their support behind the Barbadian family.
Alvin Taitt, who lives in England, was granted custody of his three children, who were victims of abuse, when he flew to Barbados last July to rescue them. He had received a call informing him that his 15-year-old daughter had planned to run away from home with her 13-year-old brother and 11-year-old sister, or commit suicide.
A man has since been charged with statutory rape in relation to the 15-year-old.
Taitt, 32, was finally able to secure custody of the children and brought them to England with him in September.
