Mottley: Bajans asking for help

TOO MANY Barbadians are asking for deliverance from the Freundel Stuart-led Government, says Opposition Leader Mia Mottley.

Speaking last Sunday night at a St Philip West branch meeting of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) at Princess Margaret Secondary School, the BLP leader said there were too many people asking to be rescued who felt their pleas were falling on Government’s deaf ears.

“I have people stopping and saying, ‘You have to rescue us, you have to be there for us’,” she said.

“They have had enough of this Government. Barbadians will forgive incompetence . . . but what Barbadians will not forgive is people who do not care. When people feel that people don’t care enough about their circumstances, about their plight, then they realise that it is time to move on.”
