THERE IS A MASS CASUALTY situation at Maxwell Main Road, Christ Church, where there was an accident involving a Route Taxi and a car.
According to an eye-witness, a young woman was trapped in the front seat of the Route Taxi and fire officials had to use the Jaws of Life to extract her.
The driver of the car was also injured.
Police cordoned off the area and diverted vehicular traffic.
Two ambulances, one rescue tender and one fire tender responded to the scene. (BN)
