PROVIDENCE – Barbados’ treasured record spanning 31 years of unbeaten matches against Guyana in this country is under severe threat today when the third round of the WICB Professional Cricket League climaxes.

Not since 1984 has Barbados lost a first class match in Guyana, but Barbados Pride are 166 for three, still in arrears by 67 runs to make Guyana Jaguars bat again on a day dominated by Jonathan Carter and hometown spinners.

Carter was heading towards his third first-class century in the second innings before gifting his wicket in the final over for 89.

Earlier, Barbados meekly surrendered their first innings in the morning session for 104 in response to Guyana’s 337.
